The NEAS mission was intended as a technology test/demonstration for developing a CubetSat with a solar sail that could be deployed to Near-Earth Asteroids (NEA). It was one of 10 CubeSats launched on Artemis 1 on 16 November 2022. The mission was lost when no communication could be established with the CubeSat post-launch.
