Menoetius in 3D: live position and orbit

The companion of the Jupiter Trojan Patroclus, almost as large as Patroclus itself: the two orbit each other every 4.28 days, about 690 kilometres apart. The pair is a target of NASA’s Lucy mission.

Menoetius is shown at its real position, computed from NASA/JPL ephemeris data. The view opens on Menoetius; you can travel in time, switch between the educational overview and the true-scale voyage, and compare it with every other body of the solar system.
