The WISE mission was the primary mission for the WISE spacecraft, launched 14 December 2009. It conducted an all-sky survey at wavelength of 3.4, 4.6, 12, and 22 micrometers. The primary mission ended in February 2011 when the cryogen was exhausted. The spacecraft was placed into hibernation, and subsequently reactivated for the NEOWISE extended mission.
