Description published by the archive

After encountering Halley's Comet at part of the Halley Armada in March 1986, ESA's Giotto spacecraft hibernated through an extended cruide period on its way to encountering comet 26P/Grigg-Skjellerup. It flew by the comet at a distance of 200km in July 1992.
