Discovered just after Easter 2005 and nicknamed “Easterbunny”, it was later named after the creator god of Rapa Nui (Easter Island). Its reddish surface is coated in frozen methane.
Makemake is shown at its real position, computed from NASA/JPL ephemeris data. The view opens on Makemake; you can travel in time, switch between the educational overview and the true-scale voyage, and compare it with every other body of the solar system.
