Dimorphos in 3D: live position and orbit

The small moon of the asteroid Didymos, about 160 metres across. On 26 September 2022 NASA’s DART spacecraft struck it on purpose, shortening its orbit around Didymos by 32 minutes: the first time humanity deliberately changed the motion of a celestial body.

Dimorphos is shown at its real position, computed from NASA/JPL ephemeris data. The view opens on Dimorphos; you can travel in time, switch between the educational overview and the true-scale voyage, and compare it with every other body of the solar system.
