Didymos in 3D: live position and orbit

An asteroid about 780 metres across that comes close to Earth’s orbit, with a small moon, Dimorphos. In September 2022 NASA’s DART spacecraft struck the moon to measure how much an impact can change an asteroid’s orbit.

Didymos is shown at its real position, computed from NASA/JPL ephemeris data. The view opens on Didymos; you can travel in time, switch between the educational overview and the true-scale voyage, and compare it with every other body of the solar system.
