Arrokoth in 3D: live position and orbit

A small Kuiper Belt object, the most distant body ever explored by a spacecraft. NASA’s New Horizons flew past it on 1 January 2019 and found two lobes joined together, like a flattened snowman, with a very red surface.

Arrokoth is shown at its real position, computed from NASA/JPL ephemeris data. The view opens on Arrokoth; you can travel in time, switch between the educational overview and the true-scale voyage, and compare it with every other body of the solar system.
